MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — A woman who was killed in Meridian on Sunday in a tragic double homicide and suicide is being honored by her coworkers.
Sarah Walmsley and Emily Works were found dead in a home off of Cougar Way in Meridian on Sunday. Meridian Police responded to the house after a neighbor called in a domestic disturbance and possible gunshots when they found Sarah and Emily.
Police were able to quickly identify a suspect, 31-year-old Clint Powers. Police tracked Powers after he stole a vehicle at gunpoint not far from the Cougar Way home. Police attempted to stop Powers in the vehicle when he then fled on foot. Police set up a perimeter around Powers who then took his own life.
Sarah Walmsley's coworkers have setup a GoFundMe page to help support her son in covering any costs necessary. The organizer states they intend to distribute all of the funds gathered to Sarah's son on Sunday, December 17, when they hold a celebration of life ceremony.
Her coworkers who have organized the fundraiser say that Sarah will "always be remembered for her bubbly and caring personality."
The celebration of life will be held Sunday, December 17, at 2:00 p.m. at Kahootz Steak & Alehouse in Meridian, and all are welcome to attend.
