This week’s Raw wasn’t for the faint-hearted. At least not for those who adore R-Truth. He was annihilated by none other than “Big” Bronson Reed, who’s on a mission to take out the big fishes on the red brand. Reed first beat The Miz with ease. Afterwards, he was about to trounce the A-Lister. However, Truth jumped in and took the bullet for his tag team partner.
Bronson hit five tsunamis on the WWE veteran, despite Raw GM Adam Pearce and other officials on site. R-Truth has now taken it to X, detailing his medical condition after the assault. The 52-year-old wrote that he has suffered broken ribs along with internal bruising. That’s the second week on the trot where Reed has caused a stampede on Raw.
Last Monday, he went after Seth Rollins. The latter sustained half a dozen tsunamis, one more than R-Truth did. Seth was even coughing blood as Bronson went heavy on his abdomen. In fact, The Visionary is written off television and would be out for a considerable amount of time. There’s no word on Truth as such. However, the fans might expect him to sell the damage for a number of weeks.

The former Judgment Day member has seen some highs this year. Teaming up with The Miz, the real-life Ron Killings won the tag team titles at WrestleMania XL. They had quite a few successful outings here and there before dropping the gold to Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. Now that the former Golden Truth member is out for good, what does that entail for Bronson Reed? He has already been slapped with a hefty fine by Adam Pearce for relegating Seth Rollins to the sidelines.
What was the main event of this week’s WWE Raw?
In the main event, Bron Breakker defended his Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn. With the match bearing a stipulation of 2-out-of-3 falls, it was expected to go down to the wire, and it did. Zayn drew first blood.
However, the champ mounted a comeback, spearing the former Honorary Uce to level back things at 1 fall apiece. Both Breakker and Sami went hard for the final stretch. However, in the end, it was Bron who prevailed.
After the show, the two even nodded in respect for each other. The Steiner descendant won the IC title from Zayn at SummerSlam. It was the latter’s turn to make amends for his loss, but he couldn’t. And now, one might feel like Sami’s hunt for the working man’s title is over for now.
