The 2024 NASCAR Cup season has been marked with unfortunate moments for the two times champion Kyle Busch. He hasn’t been consistently in the fight for wins as he used to throughout his career and even, he is upfront contending one incident or another often ruins his races. This week at Sonoma was no different.
Kyle Busch was having a strong day with his Richard Childress Racing No:8 Camry and was comfortably in a position to secure at least a top-10 finish. But things went south as on the final lap, during an attempt to make a pass, Trackhosue Racing’s Ross Chastain’s tier got locked up and he spun Busch out.

She took it to X to share the frustration using a “Schmuck” gif. Samantha Busch is always active on social media and had often shared similar opinions.

The RCR driver didn’t hesitate to call out Chastain in his post-race interview. He pointed out that the Trackhouse driver got into his back on the final lap and ruined his day. Busch is frustrated as he wasn’t able to get the finish he deserves.
A couple of guys there at the end of the race had better tires than we did but we were going to have a good day. Unfortunately, one of those guys got into us on the last lap and ruined our day. It’s frustrating to not get the finish that we deserved.Kyle Busch said.
Though the finish was disappointing, Kyle Busch has something’s to be happy about. He ran impressively well the whole race and it gives the driver as well as the team the much-needed confidence going into the next races.
